    Wicked tone to this -- I like especially "Senators." Bravo! I also like the two meanings of "consumption" (tuberculosis, etc.). I didn't see Monty Python, though, so maybe I'm missing something.

    heh, no. no Python references in the poem; but bearlyaudible had mentioned 'a pointed stick' which reminded me of a Python sketch. that's all.
